Detailed description of Rancocas Golf Club
Rancocas Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Willingboro, New Jersey.
The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. Masterpiece. The " Rancocas" name comes from that of a local American Indian tribe.
The course is known for manicured fairways and fast, smooth greens. The front nine is will bunkered and requires accuracy and discipline off of the tee. The back nine features rolling hills and tight tree lined fairways. Rancocas Golf Course traditionally ranks as one of the top public courses in South Jersey.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,602 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,074 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 585 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 162 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 1, the 585 yard par-5 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Rancocas Golf Course is # 11, a 165 yard par-3.

I've played this course for many years course is almost always in fine condition during regular play. Favorite holes are # 11 which is a short par 3, #9 which is my course hole but very interesting. You’ll need to watch out for #14 par 4 with its nasty dogleg. Front 9 is very tight and back 9 has many trees you need to be careful with. Bunkers need work some of them are very hard sand and very compact. But all in all I think it’s one of the best courses for the money in a 25 mile radius.

What a shame the course does not have a restaurant/bar, it would be nice to have a bite and enjoy a cold one after a round.

You have to make shots on this course. Move the ball left and right to score. The greens are to slow and need to be rolled once in a while. When you pay for your round and if a person named Paul is behind the counter BEWARE!!!! He is nasty and ignorant. He will ruin your round for you.

I've played this course for many years, since it was originally called Willingboro Country Club. It's always a challenging layout and is almost always in fine condition. Several of my favorite holes are #9, a great par 5, #11, a very short but tricky par 3, #13, a difficult par 5 that plays uphill after the drive, #14, a dogleg par 4 that requires an extremely accurate tee shot and #15, a par 4 over water on the second shot that always seems to play much longer than its distance on the card.

Pace was way too slow at 2:30 PM on an early Spring, cool Sunday afternoon... Ambassadors who are actually the Rangers tried to speed things up, but too many hackers out there... greens need attention...

More open on front nine - tighter layout on back nine (Robert Trent Jones) can't beat 'special offers" greens fees. Bunkers need some work - fairways & greens pretty good shape - one of the best 'public' courses around - can get a little crowded for weekend specials

Nice course to play except in the fall - leaves, leaves, leaves. Played in the late afternoon and the cost was great BUT the pace was slow. Sometimes a lower cost will bring out non-golfers especially those who where blue jeans. Yikes.
